Bank Street - Through The Years
These old postcards show the changes to Bank Street from the Edwardian era through to the late 1970s. Many changes have occurred during this time including the demolition of the building between the Co-op and Albion Stores / Sims / MacIntosh's, the replacement of the Auld Licht Kirk with the Baptist Church, the Airlie Garage and the changes to the building between the Co-op and the Union Hotel / Hooks Hotel and the postcards have shown many of these over the years. They also show business that are no longer around including Franci's.
