1906 OPENING OF NEW MARISCHAL COLLEGE BUILDINGS & ROYAL VISIT
After the Broad Street frontage was completed there was a visit from the King & Queen in September 1906 to officially open the extensions.
This was also a celebration of the 400th anniversary of the University of Aberdeen. A formal banquet dinner was held in the temporary building 'Strathcona Hall' on the Gallowgate and the city was decorated throughout.
